Akhilesh Yadav, leader of the Samajwadi Party, wrote a blog entry about the kidnapping and murder of a 16-year-old girl in Kanpur and the ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ ransom letter left by the perpetrators to divert attention from their crimes.

Conspiracy to seek ransom by connecting the crime to a certain group in order to divert police attention from the kidnapping and murder of a textile businessman’s son in Kanpur is a very serious concern. This kind of practice is exceedingly damaging for the country and society, the strongest action should be taken against it,” stated Akhilesh in his tweet.
